Jeff Is an american Poet/Songwriter-Artist living in Berlin.
He has worked with musicians,performers, sculptors and artists covering a broad spectrum of culture in Germany, and other Europeon countrys over the past 20 YEARS: Since the late eighty´s Jeffrey Funt has been engaged as set constructer, cirkus clown, stuntman, bit-part actor, stained glass artist, musician, bullwhip artist and trainer for stunt-men and actors. He has also performed in "Eddie Egals" "Fireshower" as Striptease artist in Fire, amongst other things. Jeffrey Funt has worked in close collaboration for many years with the Dutch pyro-acoustic artist Bastiaan Maris, co-building various pryo-acoustic music intruments and flame throwers. He collaborrated with Bob Rutman and Bastiaan Maris in the founding of the Music Band "Mastodon" along with "Nico Lipolis"(Drummer). He has performed solo cooncerts in the "Museum für Technik und Vehrker", Berlin, as well as in venues along with Alexander Hacke, Eddie Egal, Casper Brötzman, Ben Becker, Birol Uenel, Moonsuk Kang, Merit Becker, Blixa Bargeld, Sugercubes. Large Steel Scultures by Jeffrey Funt featured as a focal point in numerous large attractions for the German Pavillian in the "World Exposition", Sevillia, Spain in the early Ninety´s After many years of sound recordings Jeffrey Funt has produced numerous soundscapes, musical arrangements and radio plays which have found thier way into videos, exhibitions, radio, and recently for the post-premier events of Frank Castorfs, "Crime and Punishment", Volksbühne, Berlin In the years that Jeffrey Funt spent in America, his interest in teaching engaged him in social work with children of criminal tendency´s. He has also been involved in art therapy for retarded children and children with Cerebral Palsy, Mr. Funt was engaged as a guest artist in local shools in Connecticut, U.S.A.., working with primary school children Jeffrey Funt has also worked as a steamfitte/pipewelder in the comercial nuclear industry as well as in nuclear submarines and the Strategic Defense Initiative, before moving to Belin where he married a fine arts painter in East Berlin, in the time of the former East Germany.
